Classroom Reflection
During their daily countdown routine, the children gradually began taking ownership of the experience, even reminding their teacher when it was time to remove another ring from the calendar.
What began as a simple countdown quickly evolved into deeper classroom conversations and inquiry. As the children explored the sensory rings together, they began identifying colours, comparing shades, noticing similarities and differences, and observing that although the rings looked different, they were exactly the same length.
The experience naturally opened opportunities for mathematical thinking, observation, language development, and collaborative discussion through hands-on exploration.
